A new title with Norse mythology at its core and the one that belongs to the tower defence genre is coming to PC and is called ‘The Fate of Baldr’. It’s a new game developed by Ananki Game Studio and coming to Steam soon. The legend of the Norse god Baldr, who fell victim to a mistletoe arrow and whose death foretold the arrival of Ragnarok, the cataclysmic event, is the inspiration for the game.

How to play ‘The Fate of Baldr’?

In The Fate of Baldr, you play as a Viking warrior who must defend your ship against waves of mythical creatures and gods inspired by Norse mythology. You can choose from four different classes, each with its own skills and abilities. You can also upgrade your ship, towers, weapons, and equipment by gathering resources and mining ores.

One can optimise one’s defence strategy by placing a wide range of towers in key locations. Players can engage the enemies with both melees and ranged weapons. Next, users will have to Gather resources to upgrade their respective ships, towers, weapons and other equipment. The game features both single-player and online cooperative modes, where you can team up with your friends and other players to face the challenges of the game.

When will the game release?

The title is slated to release soon on Steam and is already listed on the platform. Players can currently wishlist the game so they can be notified once it’s available.
