At Gamescom 2023, AAA studios released trailers for upcoming games and made various announcements. Among these, Bandai Namco’s Tekken 8 trailer revealed its set release date after months of anticipation.
Tekken 8: When Does it Launch?
The Japanese gaming publisher, Bandai Namco, has released a new trailer for Tekken 8, the highly anticipated sequel to Tekken 7. The fighting game will be officially launched on January 26, 2024, and will feature 32 playable characters on launch, with additional content and characters expected to arrive post-launch via updates. Tekken 8 Trailer: What’s New?
Tekken 8’s latest trailer introduced Arcade Quest, a new single-player mode that lets gamers play Tekken on traditional arcade cabinets. In this mode, players can dress up their fighters in collectible outfits. The trailer also features the reappearance of several iconic characters, including Yoshimitsu, Leo, KLuma, Steve Fox, Shaheen, and Duragnov.

Tekken 8 will be available for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S on January 26. The newest entry in the popular fighting franchise is expected to launch with faster and more explosive gameplay. The sequel arrives nearly a decade after the previous entry, so many fighting game enthusiasts have been waiting for this launch. But the wait is nearly over since the launch is just 5 months away.
