The Squid Game series took the world by storm, becoming a massive hit in just one season. Netflix appears to be seeking to profit from its success with a new Squid Game VR experience, and we now have an official release date.

In 2021, the South Korean series became a hit on Netflix, featuring a gripping storyline where participants engage in high-stakes games, risking their lives for a substantial amount of money. Recently, Netflix announced its expansion into the gaming industry and has teamed up with Sandbox VR to develop a Squid Game VR game. This new title will allow players to immerse themselves in the iconic games from the show through virtual reality.

So gamers can expect to play exciting and dangerous games like Red Light Green Light in a more immersive manner. Ever since Squid Game was released, numerous mods have sought to recreate the experience in video games. This ranged from first-person to even third-person perspectives, but the upcoming Sandbox VR for the series will create a fresh and immersive experience.

By tapping into the power of virtual reality, fans can further immerse themselves in the world of this series with captivating and thrilling games they have come to know and love.”
Squid Game VR Release Date
It is worth noting that the Squid Game in VR will only be playable at one of the 40 Sandbox VR locations globally. The experience will include a full-body VR with haptic feedback vests and other immersive options. It will be released around the world on 29 September 2023.
