As October approaches, a recent leak has unveiled the upcoming games on Sony’s PlayStation Plus service. The report suggests that two games will be added, one featuring a thrilling battle against space zombies and the other allowing players to farm virtually.
Thanks to tipster @billbil_kun on X (formerly Twitter), 2 out of the 3 headliners of the PlayStation Plus monthly games lineup for October 2023 have been revealed. For those unaware, PS Plus is a subscription service similar to the Xbox Game Pass, bringing in a vast selection of games for a monthly fee. The leak has revealed that Sony’s game pass plans to include The Callisto Protocol and Farming Simulator 22 for the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 next month.
The Callisto Protocol

The Callisto Protocol is often called the spiritual successor of the popular Dead Space series as Glen Schofield (Dead Space’s creator) brings a brand-new sci-fi horror experience. Similar to Dead Space, the game is a third-person horror shooter. You take on the role of Jacob Lee, attempting to break out of the Black Iron Prison on Jupiter’s moon, Callisto. The game brings a mix of melee and shooter combat to face off against the Biophage (infected human corpses). The Callisto Protocol has a lot of gore, so it is not for everyone.

Farming Simulator 22

Unlike The Callisto Protocol, Farming Simulator 22 is for those who want to relax and enjoy a virtual agricultural experience. The game has you create your farm and manage it. There are various types of crops to harvest, animals to tend to, production to manage, and various seasonal challenges to overcome. Farming Simulator 22 also supports a wide selection of free community mods that further elevate the experience. It is one of the most popular farming sims in the gaming market, so it’s a great title to look out for.
