Song of Nunu: A League of Legends Story gets a release date for PC, Nintendo Switch

A new game called Song of Nunu: A League of Legends Story is set to release on PC and Nintendo Switch on November 1. The developer has confirmed that pre-orders are already available and the game will also be available on current-generation gaming consoles. Fans have been eagerly anticipating this spinoff from League of Legends.

Song of Nunu follows the story of two best friends, Nunu and his Yeti friend Willump. The two embark on an adventure across the frozen wilds of the Freljord. They further go on to discover a beautiful and treacherous land, making new allies (and enemies) on a journey of family, friendship, and magic. Nunu and Willump also encounter other League of Legends champions along the way.

The Song of Nunu was supposed to launch last year but was delayed until 2023 as the developer added finishing touches. The game can now be pre-ordered for $29.99 or Rs 1,300 in India on digital storefronts such as Steam. The developer is yet to announce the Xbox and PlayStation versions of the game and the announcement is expected to come in soon.

In addition to this, Riot Games will also be offering a $99.99 physical collector’s edition of the game, which comes with some extra items, such as the Willump plush, Poro plush, Song of Nunu art book, Freljord postcards, and other collectable items that you can get from its store.

Bandle Tale: A League of Legends Story also announced

Lastly, Riot Forge also announced another League of Legends spinoff game called Bandle Tale. It will be available on PC and Nintendo Switch and will be developed by Lazy Bear Games. This 2D crafting RPG lets players craft and embody Yordle characters within the whimsical realm of Bandle City, which is inhabited by fuzzy spirits.

After a party goes wrong, the portals that connect your home collapse, and now, alongside League of Legends champions, you have to use your magic and backpack house to restore the portals to reunite Bandle City. Bandle Tale’s release date remains undisclosed as of now, but it should arrive sometime in 2024.
