The Season 12 update for Rocket League, the fan-favourite game that combines vehicles and soccer, has just been released. This update includes a fresh arena, exciting rewards, and a brand-new car – the Porsche 911 Turbo. Gamers can access this update on all platforms, such as Epic Games Store, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Steam, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X and Series S.
The Porsche 911 Turbo is the main prize of Season 12 of Rocket League’s Rocket Pass, which further includes over 70 tiers of new items to unlock. The Porsche 911 Turbo is based on the iconic sports car that celebrates its 75th anniversary this year. The car uses the Dominus hitbox and comes with two sets of wheels and six decals. As for the new arena, Neo Tokyo (Hacked), it is a cyberpunk-themed version of the Neo Tokyo map, with neon lights, holograms, and glitches. You can also play in the arena in Online Playlists, Private Matches, Exhibition Matches, and Free Play.
Season 12 also brings a soft reset to all Competitive Playlists, meaning players must complete placement matches to recalibrate their rank. Season 11 rewards, custom non-tradeable boosts, will be awarded to eligible players according to their highest rank achieved and season reward level progress.

Aside from that, Season 12 Tournaments are also live with new reward items. The developer says that players who participated in at least one tournament in Season 11 will receive one All-Star Cup. Any unspent Season 11 Tournament Credits will automatically convert into rewards. Season 12 Stage 1 Challenges are also live, giving players more ways to earn XP and Rocket Pass items, while weekly Challenges will remain active throughout the entire Rocket Pass.
The end date of Season 12 has not yet been announced by Psyonix, the developer of Rocket League. However, based on the previous seasons, we can speculate that Season 12 will last for about three months, meaning it could end around early December 2023. Of course, this is just a speculation, and the actual end date might be different.
