When the Hogwarts Legacy was finally released, players quickly noticed that the iconic broom sport, Quidditch, was missing. But it seems like the idea wasn’t completely abandoned as Warner Bros. Games is gearing up to launch Quidditch Champions soon.
What is ‘Quidditch Champions’ all about?
While the flying broom sport has been an iconic part of the Harry Potter series, the Hogwarts Legacy didn’t feature this aspect of the fantasy universe. The game gave an excuse (in-game) for the sport being canceled due to an injury during the final match in spring. So Quidditch fans rejoice, as an upcoming title will fill in this gap.

Quidditch Champions is an online multiplayer game that is releasing for PC and consoles. So get ready to play with a team that consists of a chaser, a keeper, a seeker, or a beater. The game will have you take to the skies, with a gameplay format that is similar to the ones people read in the movies or saw in the books.
But What’s the Catch?
Unfortunately, Quidditch Champions isn’t a part of Hogwarts Legacy and is being launched as a standalone game. So one would need to buy this game to have the full Hogwarts experience. The studio behind the game has also invited players to sign up for limited free playtests. These invites were sent back in April and players are just now getting a chance to try out this game. The free playtest is set to go live between the 28th to 31st of July 2023. If you’re one of the people that signed up, make sure to check your emails as the free weekend will kick off soon.
