Ubisoft’s popular tactical shooter, Rainbow Six Siege, has revealed an unexpected collaboration with the legendary Halo series. Since September 26, 2023, gamers can purchase and equip the Master Chief elite skin for the operator Sledge. This skin includes the Spartan-117 helmet and armour, inspired by Halo Infinite, along with a gadget skin that changes Sledge’s breaching hammer into a Banished gravity hammer.
The skin further comes with weapon skins for Sledge’s primary weapons, which include the M590A1 shotgun and L85A2 assault rifle, while the secondary weapons include the P226 MK25 pistol. Players further get access to operator cards, a victory celebration, and the Cortana Chibi charm. The Sledge Master Chief Elite Bundle costs 2,403 R6 Credits, making it the most expensive elite bundle available in the game.
This is the first time Rainbow Six Siege and Halo have collaborated, but both franchises have previously integrated with other IPs such as Fortnite, WWE and more. In addition to the Master Chief skin, Rainbow Six Siege has also rolled out the Y8S3.2 patch, which brings some bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements to the game.

One of the major changes in the patch is the interaction between Azami’s Kiba Barriers and Oryx’s Remah Dash. Azami’s Kiba Barriers can no longer be deployed on top of each other, which could cause visual glitches and unfair advantages. Then, the update also fixes some ceiling issues in Kanal, one of the maps reworked in the Crystal Guard season.
Kanal is a map set in a naval base that features two buildings connected by bridges. It has destructible floors and ceilings, which also caused glitches where the game used to recognise some gadgets outside the building, which could result in losing access to them, especially when deploying cameras. The update fixes these glitches and makes Kanal more playable and balanced.
A bunch of other issues, such as those where operators can get stuck in the barrel located on the Clubhouse map, teammate outlines being inconsistently displayed, and a lot more, have been fixed in this update.
