While Ubisoft is known for making some of the most popular gaming franchises on PCs and desktops, the company has recently shifted its focus to include mobile gaming as well. This is best showcased with its upcoming Rainbox Six Mobile, which is a mobile port of the massively popular tactical shooter Rainbow Six Siege. Rainbow Six Mobile: When is it releasing?

The French video game publisher had been testing the game in closed beta programs earlier this year. But finally, it is gearing up for a full release soon. In a recent tweet, the company officially confirmed that the game will launch later this month. The exact date for the game’s release is still unclear, unfortunately.

What is R6 Mobile all about?

The game is based on the popular Tom Clancy’s Rainbow franchise, bringing military-focused tactical gameplay mechanics. Unlike Call of Duty Mobile and other shooter games, Rainbox Six Mobile has a slower combat loop emphasising positioning and ability use. So you won’t be running and gunning in this game. The rounds are divided into attack and defence, where one team protects an objective in a building while the other attempts to capture said objective by attacking the defender’s base.

Rainbow Six Mobile will feature a single-player and multiplayer game mode. Both of these features will have you try out new strategies and tactics to win against your opponents. Unlike its console and PC counterparts, Ubisoft has received positive feedback for R6S’ mobile port, which will also be free-to-play.
