PlayStation Plus subscribers get a host of free games each month, and ahead of September 2023, a new upcoming game for subscribers has been leaked. This game will be available to download for free next month for PlayStation Plus subscribers and will remain with them till they are subscribed to PS Plus.
The leak comes from Dealabs user Billbil-kun, who confirms that PlayStation Plus subscribers across all three tiers of the subscription will get access to Saints Row 2022 in September as a free monthly game. According to the leak, the game will be available for players to add to their library from September 5 till October 3.
The leaker has had a credible record of leaking PS Plus free games, and this one seems to be the latest in its series of leaks. However, there’s still no official confirmation regarding the availability of the game in the September 2023 catalogue of free titles for PlayStation Plus subscribers. Apart from the leaked title, the tipster says that two more games will be available for free. However, they are unable to confirm the remaining two games.
As an overview for the title, Saints Row 2022 is the fifth main instalment in the Saints Row series, developed by Volition and published by Deep Silver. It is a complete reboot of the series, meaning that it does not follow the continuity of the previous games. The game was released for all major platforms back in August of 2022.
The game is set in Santo Ileso, a vibrant fictional American Southwest city resembling Las Vegas. The city is divided into nine districts and two deserts, each with its own unique culture and atmosphere. The player character is the future Boss of the Saints, a new gang that starts from scratch with three friends: Neenah, a mechanic and getaway driver; Eli, a business-savvy entrepreneur; and Kevin, a DJ and social media influencer.
As for August’s titles that were available for free to PS Plus subscribers, these included Sea of Stars, PGA Tour 2K23, Moving Out 2, Destroy All Humans, Destiny 2: The Witch Queen, Lost Judgement, Cursed to Golf and more.
