Netflix, one of the world’s leading streaming services, and Enthusiast Gaming, the largest gaming media platform in North America, have announced a partnership to bring the popular anime series One Piece to Fortnite, the popular battle royale game with millions of players worldwide. The collaboration is a part of the promotion for the new live-action adaptation of the One Piece anime that started streaming globally on Netflix on August 31, 2023.
The new in-game experience in Fortnite has been created with the new development toolbox ‘Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN) in Fortnite Creative, a tool that allows users to design, create and share experiences with other players outside of the traditional ‘Battle Royale’.
The One Piece experience was built in collaboration with Enthusiast Gaming and Metavision, It brings three classic ships from the series to the game and will be based around a battle between two factions, the ‘Straw Hats’ and the ‘Marines’. Players who drop into the game will be part of either crew and will feature swords, flint-knock pistols and cannons for their weapons. Further, the players aim to destroy their opponent’s ship to be declared the winner.

It was also revealed that the new One Piece map and game type will be featured on the September 12th episode of Enthusiast Gaming’s NFL Tuesday Night Gaming, a weekly gaming competition featuring NFL players and legends going head-on against gaming creators across popular video game titles.
