Mortal Kombat 1
Mortal Kombat 1 is the latest entry in the massively popular fighting title. The new title reboots the franchise, bringing next-gen visuals, improved mechanics, and other improvements. The game has you fight 1v1 against your enemies, and you get to take on the role of various iconic characters like Sub-Zero and Scorpion. Notably, the series is also credited for the creation of the M-Rating on ESRB due to the gore and violence the first game features. The game is available in early access, with its full release set for September 19.

Mortal Kombat 1 on Switch: What went wrong?
Despite the game being the latest entry in the franchise, Switch owners have been raising complaints regarding the game’s visuals. Mortal Kombat 1 has yet to see a full release, but fans who pre-ordered one of Mortal Kombat 1’s premium editions are already playing it with early access. The game has generally received a positive reception; reviewers praised its visuals and gameplay. However, Switch users aren’t getting the same experience.

Since Nintendo’s handheld isn’t as powerful as the PlayStation 5 or the Xbox Series X, the Switch port was expected to run on lower resolution with other visual downgrades. But Mortal Kombat 1 players on the Switch are experiencing visual bugs and poor visual fidelity. The game is said to run at a smooth 60fps. However, the visual bugs are making the game unplayable for some. Switch users have even taken to social media platforms (like X and TikTok) to voice their concerns regarding the performance of the handheld version of the game. These bugs are also affecting the gameplay experience, so hopefully, the devs will polish out these issues before the official launch.
