Merge War - Army Draft Battler Guide

Share Story:

Merge War – Army Draft Battler is a strategy-based auto-chess game developed and released by Funovus. Strategy games have been and will be one of the most popular genres of games across all platforms because there is something addictive about paving your method of winning against your opponents. Merge War – Army Draft Battler is one such game where players must focus on multiple things to secure a win.

Combine your army units to produce stronger and better units as you progress through the floors of each stage. Different units are available at your disposal, and you need to decide which unit of the army you need to merge and at what spot on the grid. Merge War – Army Draft Battler is one of the most intriguing games we have reviewed in a while.

After spending a lot of time checking this game out, we came up with a thorough review of the game’s positives and negatives just for you. So with that in mind, let’s take a closer look at the positives and the bad Merge War – Army Draft Battler has to offer!

THE GOOD

Addictive Gameplay

Merge War – Army Draft Battler has one of the most addictive gameplay we have experienced. Although the game’s rules are quite simple, and the premise isn’t too convoluted, we found ourselves completely engrossed in the game for hours. Each stage has a tougher boss battle than the last, and players need to prepare for the final battle from the first floor itself.

Another reason why Merge War – Army Draft Battler offers such an addictive gameplay session is because of the satisfying sound effects players get from merging their army units. Again, the developers at Funovus did a fantastic job with the audio queues.

Diverse characters

Merge War – Army Draft Battler has many characters that could be used in your army. Players can select a lineup that they feel comfortable with and choose to level these units up. The higher the level of these units, the more added perks these units offer, and that makes a huge difference during boss battles. For example, some characters provide healing, the usual cavalry, foot soldiers, archers, and many more.

Strategy based

One of the biggest things about Merge War – Army Draft Battler is that this game is about strategy. When merged, each character/unit of the army releases power into nearby blocks, this power could destroy rocks that open up space for more summoning, or they get added to nearby army members. Now here, the players need to merge their units to satisfy 3 conditions carefully:

  • The units are in optimal locations on the grid based on their role
  • The dispersed power is properly utilized during each merge
  • There should be available space for more summons

Your army should be in a solid position as long as these three conditions are met.

Graphics

The game has a top-down view, and the graphics it features truly complement the gameplay. All the characters are brightly coloured, and each attack was extremely satisfying to watch. A game’s graphics are the most crucial factor for a successful game. Special attacks by the divine class units were also beautifully animated, making their ultimates look dominating.

THE BAD

Energy

This comes from a personal opinion: spending energy on an arcade game frustrates the game. Sometimes, players are so close to winning but end up losing, and they can’t have another go at it because their energy was used up. It’s understandable why the developers chose to do this, but it interrupts the flow of the game. Having at least a single game mode that could be played repetitively without the need to worry about the energy or keys would be the best move.

Repetitive

Although it isn’t a major negative, the game tends to get repetitive because each world has 20 stages and plays the same way. There are minor changes, but the format and methods could be more varied. Also, due to the lack of an alternative game mode, there is little to do after a certain point.

Despite that, Merge War is a fantastic way to spend your free time and enjoy a few wins.

Conclusion

All in all, Merge War – Army Draft Battler, based on the good and the bad points mentioned above, receives a solid 7.5/10 from us.

This decision was made based on many factors; the major contributor to the decision was the addictive gameplay, beautiful graphics, and the satisfying feeling of merging your army. Merge War – Army Draft Battler did a fantastic job with the levels as well by ensuring that each level had something new to offer, in addition to having a wide range of units to choose from for your army.

However, due to the repetitive nature of the game and the need for alternative game modes, some points we deducted. Although no game is perfect, and Merge War – Army Draft Battler indeed has some issues with making the game engaging, it was one of the more addictive games we have reviewed.

All in all, Merge War is a fantastic experience and worth a shot. If you are interested and found this guide helpful, feel free to check out the game on Play Store and the App Store.
