Horizon Forbidden West may no longer be exclusive to Sony PlayStation, as rumours suggest it will soon be available on PC. Here’s what you need to know.
Horizon Forbidden West
The title is an open-world action RPG (role-playing game) developed by Guerilla Games and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. It is the sequel to 2017’s Horizon Zero Dawn and is set in a world that saw a mass extinction event caused by a rogue robot swarm. The game has you explore an expansive world that is overrun by robotic animals. Combat ranges from ranged and melee weapons and there is a number of interactions with NPCs. You play as Aloy, who leads a band of companions on a quest to the frontier region known as the Forbidden West. The game was released in February 2022 and sold over 8 million titles by April 2023.

Horizon Forbidden West: PC Release Rumor
According to a tipster, the Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition will be available on PC soon through the Steam and Epic Games Store. It is still unclear when the title will be rolling out for the PC platform, but rumours hint that the launch is imminent. Horizon Zero Dawn is already available on PC, so it would make sense that its sequel also makes its way to PC. At the moment, the sequel is still a PlayStation exclusive and can only be played on the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4.

But while Sony hasn’t officially confirmed anything, the Complete Edition of Horizeon Forbidden West was spotted on a ratings board’s website. The rating was for Singapore and states that the “Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition is a compilation containing the original adventure game Horizon Forbidden West and its Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores expansion.” For those unaware, the Burning Shores expansion is a DLC that has Aloy travel to the ruins of Los Angeles.
