Despite lagging behind in console generation, Nintendo offers new games on the Switch. The 2022 Gotham Knights port is coming to the handheld gaming console.
Gotham Knights
Gotham Knights is an open-world action RPG (Role Playing Game) set in the iconic fictional DC Comics’ city of Gotham. This city is the home of the world’s greatest detective and the dark knight, Batman. But unlike previous titles set in the same city, gamers no longer play as the caped crusader. Rather, there are four new heroes to choose from. This includes Nightwing, Batgirl, Robin, and Red Hood. These are all popular characters with their rich backstory.

Nintendo Switch Port
According to a Nintendo Life report, Gotham Knights has been rated for the Nintendo Switch. This means that its launch might be near. The report adds that the ESRB rating for the 2022 title now mentions Switch alongside other platforms like the PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X. The ratings for this game have surfaced in Singapore so an official announcement could drop soon. Gotham Knights has a rating of teen since it features violence, blood, and more. If this news is true, then it will be the latest port to the gaming handheld. In the recent past, Nintendo saw positive reception to ports of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Doom Eternal, and The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim.

But how well will the game run on the Switch?
Gotham Knights had a rocky launch, being plagued by various bugs and performance issues. Current generation consoles like the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 have also capped the game’s framerate at 30fps. So we can expect the Nintendo Switch also to hit 30fps but at a lowered resolution. It may run on 720p resolution, which isn’t something uncommon. Nintendo’s The Legend of Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom goes up to 900p resolution but also drops down to 720p.
