Google Play Games’ PC Beta is finally here, bringing the Android gaming experience to PCs. The beta offers a vast selection of Android apps that are optimized to run on the Windows platform.
Google Play Games for PC: How Does it Work?
The PC beta allows native apps running on Windows systems, unlike emulators such as BlueStacks. Google collaborated with game developers to optimize resource usage and performance. Early participants can enjoy Android games with mouse and keyboard on smartphones, tablets, Chromebooks, and PCs.

It is important to note that after installing the beta, you must restart your computer and enable hardware virtualization in the BIOS (Windows 11 users can do so via the ‘Windows features’ settings). The new update to Google Play Games beta for PC now includes more than 60 new regions across the globe, bringing the total count to over 120. In India, the platform has been rolled out with support for English and Hindi.
The minimum requirements to run the Play Games PC Beta is a Windows 10 (v2004) and any CPU with at least 4 physical cores. You would also need Intel’s UHD Graphics 630 GPU or higher and 8GB of RAM. First announced in 2021, this highly anticipated platform will continue to improve as Google promises to introduce new features and enhance user experience by taking valuable feedback from developers and gamers.
