A new month means new games will be added to the Xbox Game Pass library, but a bunch of titles will also be leaving the service. And so, Microsoft has revealed the list of games that will be leaving Xbox Game Pass in October 2023, including six titles.
The list of titles includes:
- Eville
- Overwhelm
- Shenzhen I/O
- The Legend of Tianding
- Trek to Yomi
- Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion
While Microsoft hasn’t revealed the exact date on which these games would be removed, it should likely happen in the next two weeks, by October 15 or by the end of the month, considering the previous track record of the platform. This also means that one can purchase these games at a 20% discount before they leave the service so you can keep it with you forever.
Most of these Xbox Game Pass games are currently available across PC and consoles, with the exception of Overwhelm and Shenzhen I/O, which are limited to PC. While most of these games received mixed reactions from critics and fans alike at the time of launch, The Legend of Tianding was received well. It is a side-scrolling action game based on the real-life story of Liao Tianding, a Taiwanese outlaw who robbed the rich and helped the poor in the early 20th century. The game features comic-style graphics, historical references, and dynamic combat.
Meanwhile, if you plan to try new games, Xbox will add some of those to its Game Pass later in October 2023. An official list of such games includes major titles like Gotham Knights, Forza Motorsport, and Warhammer 40,000: Darktide. Forza Motorsport is one of the biggest launches, with live pre-orders and availability beginning October 10. It will feature over 500 cars to play around with.
Apart from these major titles, Microsoft also plans to add a couple of other games to the subscription service. Meanwhile, the company recently also pushed a bonus September update for its Xbox consoles, bringing a new policy for storing game captures on the Xbox network, the Events channel, and more.
