Fortnite recently partnered with Ralph Lauren that gave the game a makeover, and now, a new crossover is in works with the famous anime series Jujutsu Kaisen, which is set to go live on August 8. The crossover is set to bring new skins for characters as well as introduce bug fixes and other enhancements.
The Fortnite x Jujutsu Kaisen crossover was teased on August 1, 2023, on the official Fortnite X account (formerly Twitter). The short video showed the silhouettes of Satoru Gojo, Yuji Itadori, Megumi Fushiguro, and Nobara Kugisaki, the four sorcerers who fight against evil curses in the Jujutsu Kaisen anime series. The series mainly follows the adventures of Yuji Itadori, a high school student who becomes involved in a secret world of sorcerers and curses after swallowing the finger of a powerful demon.
What to expect from the crossover?
According to reliable Fortnite leakers, the crossover will include four skins, each with its own back bling and pickaxe. The skins are based on the designs of the characters from the anime adaptation of Jujutsu Kaisen, which is currently airing its second season. The back buildings are modelled after the cursed objects that the sorcerers use to boost their powers, such as Gojo’s blindfold, Yuji’s finger, Megumi’s shinigami, and Nobara’s hammer and nails.
Though unconfirmed, it should also include pickaxes, which are apparently themed after the weapon’s abilities of the characters, such as Gojo’s infinity, Yuji’s divergent fist, Megumi’s shadow hand, and Nobara’s straw doll.
The Fortnite and Jujutsu Kaisen collaboration is will be a part of the v25.30 update, which will also introduce new features and bug fixes to the game. The update will go live on August 8, 2023, at 4 AM ET (1:30 PM IST). The skins and items will be available in the item shop for a limited time.
