Dream League Soccer 2023

Share Story:

The sport goes by multiple names; Fútbol, Football, Soccer, but at the end of the day, it’s one and the same. As per most of the world, football is undoubtedly the sport with the deepest history and heritage. So with the rise in mobile games, it’s no surprise that Dream League Soccer 2023 has gotten on the radar of many avid sports fans. Featuring a list of elite players, including Kevin De Bruyne, Ashraf Hakimi, Ousmane Dembélé and many more FIFPRO™ licensed players.

Dream League Soccer 2023 has a lot to unpack and analyze. The game has its strong points, along with some frustratingly bad points. However, after spending a decent amount of time playing and understanding the game, we have come up with a solid review. So without any further delay, let’s get into it!

THE GOOD

Simple UI

Many things set Dream League Soccer 2023 apart from its contemporaries, one of which is the UI’s and tutorials’ simplicity. Having an overly complex User Interface often scares away new players, much like in the case of eFootball 2023. However, Dream League Soccer 2023 does a fantastic job of keeping the user interface simple while offering all the nuanced settings that the try-hards would tinker with.

Having three simple buttons, “A”, “B”, and “C”, for passing, shooting and lobbying, respectively, makes the game look efficient and optimized. The idea is to allow players who are just learning the game of football to coexist with players who have spent the vast majority of their time playing similar games.

Graphics

One of the most eye-catching and superbly done jobs was the graphics for Dream League Soccer 2023. The animations for the players, as well as their tendencies, were perfectly captured. As a result, we could feel the difference in performance from player to player depending on their attributes. Another quality-of-life feature they added was the graphics quality, which allowed players to adjust their settings as per their phone. Despite being set on the lowest graphics, the game still looked extremely fluid and clean.

Management

Although the concept of Management Boost is already prevalent in other mobile football games, Dream League Soccer 2023 has also started implementing it as well. Improving the type of coach would increase the stats of certain players and even increase the team’s maximum potential. In addition, these added stats and ratings would increase the team’s overall rating. Players can even tinker with the team positioning, lineups, tactics and much more. Allowing players more control over how their team will play.

Transfers

Like other sports games, Dream League Soccer 2023 wouldn’t have been complete without a transfer option. Players can release players for fitness and technical coaches and take a look at the live market. The Live Market is updated every few hours and can feature really strong or bad players, with no guarantee of any kind. However, it is key to know that players can hire scouts and agents to get high-level players as well.

Players can sign renowned players onto their team by even using diamonds, an in-game currency, to improve their teams rating and compete in higher divisions. In addition, Dream League Soccer 2023 features many of your favourite football clubs worldwide.

Scenarios

Dream League Soccer 2023, aside from the offline single-player mode, also features a Scenarios Mode in which players can recreate iconic football moments and other challenges to earn more coins. These scenarios appear once per day and take some work to complete. However, these Scenarios were enjoyable and were a refreshing change from the other game modes.

THE BAD

Paywall

Surprise, it was only a complete football game with some high paywalls. Dream League Soccer 2023 has an in-game currency that players need for almost all the big purchases, “Diamonds”. Without them, players cannot expand their stadiums, buy high-value transfers, or do anything involving massive improvement of the team in general. This doesn’t come as a surprise because most of these sports games follow the same strategies to commercialize them.

It is disheartening because most players weren’t locked behind a paywall when the Dream League Soccer Franchise was initially launched.

Bugs

With the latest update, the game is riddled with bugs and random crashing. For example, players can watch an advertisement to double their match earnings, but the game freezes once it ends. Aside from that, the game is also getting stuck in the initial bootup, causing a lot of frustration and annoyance.

Conclusion

Based on our opinion, Dream League Soccer 2023, in its current state, could only be given a 6/10. This is based on the above-mentioned negative points, although a few are extremely annoying. Being unable to improve your team simply because most of the good stuff is hidden behind paywalls is ridiculous. Alongside the bugs, these are the worst of all; they cause irritation and interrupt the flow of the game and make it unplayable.

Aside from the points mentioned above, the game has a bright future and is one of the easiest mobile football games to get into. As a result, players can truly enjoy the sporting experience and not be overwhelmed.

Dream League Soccer 2023 is available on Google Play and the App Store.
