The Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi is a series of fighting games based on the popular Manga/Anime Dragon Ball. Entries in the franchise are action-packed and feature iconic characters like Goku, Vegeta, Freeza, and many others. All of these characters and their unique battle techniques and transformations are also featured in these games. Budokai Tenkaichi literally translates to “The Number One Under Heaven Martial Arts Gathering” and as the name suggests, the game is set in a martial arts tournament that includes some of the most powerful people in the Dragon Ball universe.
When does Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 4 release?
According to leaker Geekdom on X, Budokai Tenkaichi might be launching sometime in 2024. For those unaware, the third installment of the franchise was released 17 years ago, back in 2007. But Geekdom claims that Budokai Tenkaichi 4 is coming “sooner than people realize”. The game was officially announced earlier this year, which excited Dragon Ball fans across the globe. A fan of the series commented on this tweet saying that he believed the game would launch in the first quarter of mid-2024, which Geekdom confirmed.

Unfortunately, the announcement didn’t reveal any finer details regarding the upcoming fighting game. But one notable aspect that was confirmed officially is that Goku’s Super Saiyan Blue transformation will be making an appearance.
