Discord is now offering game streaming for Xbox players, a move aimed at making the instant messaging platform more attractive to console gamers. Currently, this feature is only available to Xbox insiders, but Discord has confirmed that it will soon be accessible to the general public.
The insider program allows Xbox fans to provide feedback to the company on the latest system updates, features, and games still in development for Xbox consoles and Windows 10/11 devices. Learn how to activate it and start streaming your Xbox games on Discord to impress your friends with your accomplishments.
On its blog, Discord announced that it will allow Xbox players to directly stream their games from Xbox Series X, Series S, or Xbox One to Discord.
How to do Xbox game streaming to Discord?
Open Discord on your phone or your PC/laptop and head to User Settings.
Now tap on the Connections on Discord for desktop or mobile. Within the Connections menu, tap on the Xbox logo.
Now, sign into your Microsoft account. Note that if you’ve previously connected your Xbox account to use Discord Voice chat on your console, you do not need to re-connect your account.
Once you’re all set, press the Xbox button on your controller and open the Parties & Chats tab on your Xbox Series X|S or Xbox One console. Then select Discord, then scroll to one of your available servers and join a Voice channel.
Select the “Stream your game” option and you are done.
So this was how you can stream your Xbox games to Discord and play with your friends as if they are with you in real-time. Not only this, but those with a Discord Nitro subscription get extra perks, such as the ability to Stream to Discord in HD quality, up to 1080p and increased framerates.
