Destiny 2 has received an update from Bungie, which brings the game to version 7.2.0.5. This update is now available for download on all platforms and contains several fixes and enhancements for various activities, weapons, armour, abilities, and more.
One of the main changes in this update is modifying the Crota’s End loot pool, which now has a more balanced distribution of armour pieces. This change only affects armour, while weapon drops remain the same. The new loot pool for each encounter is as follows:
- Abyss: helmet, gauntlets, and chest armour
- Oversoul Throne Bridge: gauntlets, chest armour, and leg armour
- Ir Yut: chest armour, leg armour, and class item
- Crota, Son of Oryx: leg armour, class item, and helmet
Another notable change is the adjustment of the spawning zones for Burnout in Trials of Osiris, which should improve the balance and fairness of the matches. Furthermore, the Vermillion Defender emblem can also be reacquired from Collections now.

Aside from this, the update also fixes several issues with weapons, such as Shotguns having more damage falloff than intended when aiming sights down, Special Ammo being generated by swapping weapons in quick succession, and Necrochasm’s Cursed Thrall Arc explosions dealing less damage than intended to combatants.
The Strand Warlock subclass also received some tweaks, such as reducing the damage of Arc Soul and No Time To Explain drones while in Weavewalk, preventing players from dunking the Spark while in Weavewalk, and reducing the damage resistance provided by Weavewalk while carrying the Spark.
The update also addresses some bugs with armour perks, artefact mods, bounties, pursuits, and out-of-bounds spots in some Crucible maps. Then, the update also aims to make it easier for the players to complete the Heist Battleground Mars. With v7.2.0.5 of Destiny 2, Bungie seems to have reduced the combatant count and frequency during some encounters in higher difficulty levels. Some players have given feedback regarding the heists being too difficult and Bungie has now responded with the latest patch for Destiny 2.
