It’s not uncommon for Call of Duty to team up with other franchises to introduce well-known fictional characters in their latest games. With the upcoming Season 6 update, it has been revealed that the next addition to the roster will be none other than the superhero character Spawn. This means fans can look forward to seeing Spawn in action soon.
Who is Spawn?
Spawn is a superhero character that Todd McFarlane created. He is a popular fictional anti-hero who appears in his monthly comic book series, making it a franchise independent from giants like Marvel and DC. Spawn was more of a cult hit in its early days but is slowly breaking into popular media in recent years, with an upcoming movie set to launch soon. Spawn is a superhero from Hell and was originally a man called Albert Simmons. After his death, he made a deal with a demonic being to gain supernatural powers. Although, it’s unclear if any of these powers will be reflected in the gameplay.
