The upcoming release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is highly anticipated, with its beta testing phase just around the corner. However, a recent report suggests that in addition to the main beta, there may also be a beta for the popular Zombies game mode.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
For those unaware, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is the highly anticipated sequel to 2022 COD: MW2. In recent years, Activision rebooted its iconic Modern Warfare with new characters, a fresh plot, and more. The COD series is the biggest military shooter title in the gaming market and is also a significant series that often describes the first-person shooter genre.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Beta
Following its traditional release cycle, Activision will release the multiplayer beta for the shooter ahead of its full launch. But this time, the beta won’t allow COD fans to try out the regular multiplayer but also get their hands on the Zombies mode. According to Call of Duty leaker HeyImAlaix on X (formerly Twitter), the beta includes Zombies. The Zombies game mode has been a big part of Call of Duty for 15 years.

Unlike the regular multiplayer PvP (player vs player) focus, the Zombies game mode emphasises survival against hordes of AI zombies. The COD betas typically arrive a month or two ahead of full release, allowing the company to stress test the server and get feedback directly from the player base. This even helps in balancing the game and its weapons. It is worth noting that the multiplayer beta only offers minimal access to the full multiplayer experience. This is still an unconfirmed leak, but we can expect a confirmation when the beta drops on October 6.
