The creators of Battlegrounds Mobile India (the exclusive Indian version of PUBG Mobile), Krafton, have recently revealed the latest major update. This patch, version 2.8 of BGMI, includes new game modes and an updated battle pass. We have all the details for you below.
BGMI 2.8 Update: What’s new?
While Krafton has yet to reveal the official launch date for version 2.8, the next major update for BGMI is expected to be released next month. This aligns with the current A1 Royale Pass (BGMI’s battle pass), ending on October 2, and Cycle 4 Season 12 will end on October 23. This update will likely be available for Android users first, with the iOS release following shortly after.

In the BGMI 2.8 update, Krafton is bringing a brand new A2 Royale Pass. The battle pass is one of the highlights of every update since it features fresh skins for your character and weapons, fun emotes, and other rewards you can earn or buy. However, the update doesn’t just add in-game cosmetics but also offers a new game mode. The company will soon provide a Zombies Mode, which lets gamers experience a spooky adventure in the Zombie Edge theme mode.

BGMI players will find themselves in a haunted city that undead zombies overrun. The game mode features a new combat knife that lets you silently take down enemies without alerting the rest of the zombie hordes. Lastly, Krafton has also worked on fixing bugs and enhancing the performance of the popular mobile game. To celebrate its growing community in India, the company recently released a new video titled “BGMI Ki Boli” to promote inclusivity and diversity.
