Apex Legends Season 18

Share Story:

The popular video game Apex Legends is set to revive one of its most impressive characters in the upcoming Season 18 update. Revenant has undergone a significant transformation, turning into a powerful robotic assassin with the new rework that is scheduled to be released later this month. While the latest season includes weapon balancing and fresh cosmetic items, the changes made to Revenant are highly anticipated by fans. To give you a better idea, here’s a brief overview of all the tweaks that have been made in “Revenant Reborn”.

Revenant Resurrected: Monstrous Assassin Fantasy

Every playable character in Apex Legends has three distinct abilities that make them unique from one another. This includes the Passive, Tactical, and Ultimate abilities. Revenant’s previous kit appeared useful on paper but struggled to keep up with the game’s meta. Now, the rework brings him back into the spotlight since his release in Season 4. Here are all the changes:

Apex Legends Season 18
  • Passive: Revenant’s new passive is dubbed “Assassin’s Instinct”, which basically gives you wallhacks. Low enemies are now highlighted for all Revenant players and they can also mark them for their teammates. The passive retains its more useful wall climbing and faster crouch walking speeds.
  • Tactical: Respawn Entertainment has completely reworked the Legend’s tactical ability. Replacing the Silence, players get a powerful new movement ability that fundamentally changes the way Revenant is played. This allows you to perform a short dash or a long-range one depending on how long your charge up the ability. “Shadow Pounce” will be great for aggressive playstyles or when a “tactical” retreat is necessary.
  • Ultimate: The new Ultimate is “Forged Shadows”, which summons a shroud of shadows. This can help trick enemies and tank damage. These shadows will last for 25 seconds, although it won’t offer protection against AOE damage (Area of Effect).

Season 18: New Content & Release Date

The Revenant rework is the highlight, but Season 18 also adds fresh cosmetics to the new Apex Legends Resurrection Battle Pass. Mag Maggie and Pathfinder are receiving new legendary skins, while Caustic, Valkyrie, and Octane get new epic skins. New weapon skins will drop, as well as a double XP “Death Dynasty Collection Event” in battle royale mode. The Season 18 update will roll out at 10 a.m. PDT/ 1 pm EDT on Tuesday, August 8.
